Mentorship - a unique opportunity!

As a Greenhouse exhibitor, you are given the chance to take part in a unique mentorship programme. The mentorship programme was launched in 2017 and involves the opportunity to get guidance and feedback from a top professional within the furniture industry over a one year period.

The mentors and designers who will work together 2019:

The mentors for 2019 are:

 

Andreas Wadskog, Karl Andersson & Söner

CEO Andreas Wadskog was born into Karl Andersson & Söner. As the fourth generation Andreas runs the family company together with his two sisters Maria and Sara. After finishing his M.Sc. at Chalmers University of Technology in 1998 and after some years in the mechanical industry he returned to the company his father’s grandfather started in 1898.

Andreas is responsible for the product development and have collaborated with many young designers. There is a lot of furniture from the company that have been discovered at the Greenhouse in Stockholm and Satellite in Milan. Many young designers have had their first commercial success at Karl Andersson & Söner. With wood as the major material, design quality furniture has been Handmade in Huskvarna since 1898. And Andreas is there, supporting the youngsters in the design and manufacturing process so the result become sustainable and durable furniture which will live for generations to come.

 

Charlotte Ackemar, Note Design Studio

Charlotte Ackemar is one of 14 creatives at Note Design Studio, a world renowned design studio, praised with several prestigious design awards. 

The Stockholm-based multidisciplinary collective was founded in 2008 and emphasises collaboration between the different disciplines within the studio - product design, interior design, architecture, graphics and strategy. Collaborating like this is a way to push boundaries, find new perspectives and create unique projects.

Charlotte joined Note in 2013, after graduating from Konstfack's masters programme, and works within the span of furniture design and interior architecture, on projects all around the world.

In the last couple of years Note have been working more internationally, finding clients who share the same passion for doing things out of their comfort zone.

 

Magnus Elebäck, Massproductions

Magnus Elebäck is an entrepreneur and a generalist in the world of design driven business. Educated in product design at Beckmans School of Design, Magnus has been working as a design consultant for a handful international companies.

In 2009 Magnus Elebäck, together with Chris Martin, founded the Stockholm based furniture company Massproductions. The two designers, sharing vision of functional, elegant, modern design, decided to break free of PR-driven product strategies to create a modernist furniture company focusing on the interplay between object and context. Massproductions alludes to the beauty of efficient, sustainable, high quality industrial production. By working closely with the engineers and machine operators at their production facilities, the company ensures the integrity of their vision down to every cut and bend.

Massproductions is at the moment in a phase of fast growth and the company’s client base is mainly found in the export markets. As the CEO of Massproductions, Magnus Elebäck runs the company with his holistic approach on the industry, always with the mission of adding long lasting cultural values to the world of furniture design.

 

Nina Jobs, designer at Nina Jobs

Designer Nina Jobs started her design business in Stockholm 2002 after several years’ studies in Paris. Over time she has created a company that has become a platform for wide ranging work covering products, furniture design, art direction and visual performance. The cornerstones of the company’s strategy are a request of simplicity, sustainability and timeless design.

The studio works on an international level with clients stretch to all continents of the world.

She has been working for the Swedish Government to curate Swedish Design and Architecture exhibitions in Asia and US.

Nina’s work has been published world wide and received international design prizes.

 

Anders Färdig, Design House Stockholm

Anders Färdig founded the publishing house for Scandinavian design, Design House Stockholm 26 years ago after many years working in the design industry with both glass and table ware.  He is a visionary doer as well as a problem solver and the designers’ best partner.  All designers are welcome to bring their personal ideas to Design House Stockholm. With eye for the detail as well as the production he has worked with a great number of well-known Swedish and international designers through out the years.

Design House Stockholm has distinguished themselves by often choosing young, promising designers in addition to more established names. Some of their best selling designer items are sold at MoMa in New York and Design House Stockholm work with more than 300 retailers all over Europe, USA and Asia as well as their own sell points.  The collection consists of furniture both for home and contract, table- and kitchenware, home textiles, design objects, kitchen and lighting.
